The debut of Microsoft's HoloLens 2 went off without a hitch, and now it's time to figure out if you want to hop aboard the updated augmented reality train.
Just after the reveal of the HoloLens 2, Microsoft posted a pre-order page that features two major options.
- Don't Miss: Microsoft Unveils the HoloLens 2
The first option allows you to purchase the HoloLens 2 with the Dynamics 365 Remote Assist software suite for $125 per user, per month. Or, if you're not trying to equip an entire team and just need to snag just one or two devices, you can pre-order the HoloLens 2 for $3,500.
The price isn't as low as some had hoped, and it's definitely not beating out the Magic Leap One, which is priced at $2,295. Nevertheless, some will likely be willing to pay the extra few hundred hundred dollars for the more established support infrastructure of Microsoft compared to Magic Leap's startup ecosystem that's still finding its way.
For now, Microsoft's pre-order form doesn't indicate when the device will be delivered, but if you want to make sure you're not left out in the cold if the device sells out, getting your order in now is probably a good idea.
